First Mobility - Romania
The first mobility of the program took place in Romania in the Liceul Teoretic "Constantin Brâncoveanu" between 25 to 29 April 2023.
It was the first live meeting in which five schools from France, Italy, Portugal, Romania and Greece cooperate as partners: Teachers from all countries participated in the meeting. The coordinating country of the program is France with the CLG Jean-Jacques Rousseau, a School from the city of Voujeaucourt.
The Romanian partners gave a particularly warm welcome to the teachers upon their arrival in the city. The teachers stayed in the same hotel, had the opportunity to get to know each other and discuss various issues concerning both the educational systems of their countries and the methods they use to support their students with special educational needs and to exchange opinions and experiences from the school classroom. The principal of Liceul Teoretic Constantin Brancoveanu, the Romanian colleagues and the staff of the school welcomed and hosted us in the best way, and throughout our stay there they surrounded us with their love and friendship.
The following day, upon the arrival of all the delegations at the host school, an official welcome was held by the principal of the school, Christina Issa, and an exchange of gifts between the delegations. This was followed by a tour of school classrooms and attending classes based on a variety of educational methods. Then there was a presentation of the delegations, partner schools, cities and countries participating in the program, which was attended by students and teachers of the Romanian school.
On the third day there was a presentation of the Romanian education system, a presentation and demonstration of VR-LAB, the first 3D virtual reality laboratory in a Romanian school. It was followed by a particularly warm event in the Sports Hall of the school with an artistic, musical and dance program by students and teachers. Then the teachers from the delegations, the students and the teachers of the host school danced a variety of dances, including traditional Romanian dances, followed by a presentation and performance of traditional dances from the other partner countries, an event that brought all the participants together. The working meetings ended with a very interesting and rich discussion of the delegations in the principal's office, offering of souvenirs by the host school and presentation of certificates of attendance to all participants.
As part of the program, a day trip was organized to the Cantacuzino Palace and the surrounding mountainous area of Sinaia, where the delegations had the opportunity to admire the nature and landscapes of Romania. They also visited the Natural History Museum and the Cotroceni Palace, which houses the Presidency in the Romanian capital, and thus had the opportunity to get to know important milestones of the country's modern history.
The teachers had the opportunity to develop their reflection on the effectiveness of practices and methods in the context of inclusive education, to transfer their experience from their schools and exchange opinions on the difficulties and possibilities of their intervention in the learning process, In relation to this, they watched the work of Romanian colleagues in the classroom using audio-visual media, the collaborative method and digital tools such as Kahoot, and then they worked collaboratively and implemented the method of creative writing with Romanian students, in order to create stories of inclusion. And most importantly, they built strong bonds of friendship and mutual respect that will demonstrate in the most eloquent way that peoples can live peacefully in a climate of respect and mutual understanding.
In addition, the Erasmus delegates had the opportunity to plan the next steps for the successful development and completion of the program and to prepare the next meetings.
